In The Rain
From Wikipen
I have always loved to go
swimming in the rain:
the sheer absurdity of worrying,
as I immerse myself in
chlorinated water, that
I might get wet.
Or perhaps the enjoyment
is the knowledge that,
all around me,
as drops add imperceptibly
to the level of the pool,
they sacrifice their identities
for the new joy
of joining with their own kind
in rapture—
until the water evaporates
once again
to repeat the cycle.
