Site update

Hello. Site name has changed from Limbes to Wikipen. Therefore all [[Limbes: pages are now named [[Wikipen:. Links should be corrected, but cache issues are still around. If you see a red link, edit the page, do a dummy change and save, should fix link. This also affects links to user's pages, and user talk pages.

Yes, I designed the original logo Limbes, and yes it is now out of date. I hope very much that notafish will give a hand drafting a new one, stating : WIKIPEN Limbus. It would then be used both on French and English sites. Of course, if somebody is ready to try something, I'm more than willing to look at it :) villy 19:57, 5 Sep 2005 (CEST)

i though a spiral could be a relevant shape (incresion <--> wiki, infinite --> limbs, vertigo, etctera). i made 3 or 4 here, but it may too much look like a snail :). i like the gloumouth's cortex, and in fact, it is this image which gave me the idea of a spiral. --doud

OK, here is a new version, I wanted to change the logo on the site so that at least the name is right, but the trick with wiki.png apprently does not work. Ryo? A solution?

Migrating again

Hello.

Wikipen will once more move to another server. I will start working on it as soon as friday the 28th. It shouldn't take too long, but we never know, so don't worry if the site isn't back up by saturday evening.

I didn't post on english version of wikipen (only french version),

so i just would like to say that this link seems to be buggy :

Special:Wantedpages present on Wikipen:Community_Portal.

Yes it is because some users hold links on their own pages so these link are count by MediaWiki as potential "Wanted pages"... When French user's will want to get rid off these former link the Special:Wantedpages will be clean and operational :)--Sylvano 16:14, 7 November 2005 (CET)

Meta page

Hi, i try now to translate meta pages of wikipen (Help for now). I need some help to check if the pages i translated are written in an understandable english (lol), and as well you can complete what you want. Thanks --Boly

Categories and other stuffs

- I categorized all texts, but it was production-line work (there's maybe some mistakes). Many are now in "Poetry", it seems the authors like this form :)
- Otherwise, the help pages and community portal have to be translated but my english is too bad for this whole work :s
- there is also the problem of missing (red links) french pages. all user talks has been conserved with migrations. see this page to understand what i want to tell : Special:Wantedpages :)
- i don't know if i'm the only one, but i think all wikipen:xxx, help:xxx and other similar (idem in fr: langage) pages are too diversificated. i mean, maybe a site map with all these pages listed, "répertoriées", could be a good thing to make easier the "administration work" like translation and categorization. i made a first version of this map on my personnal page. --doud

introducing Category:All, i categorized the uncategorized categories as well as the main page and some uncategorized pages, such as this one. i deleted Category:Wikipen:Help, since it was empty and had already been replaced by by the simpler Category:Help. finally, i also started Category:Wikipen for pages related to this wiki itself. oscar 23:34, 14 November 2005 (CET)

weird eh, but it is that way: i click on watch, a confirmation text appears with (unchanged) the "watch-button" still there, finally the page returns with the watch button instead of the unwatch. rc shows the page not bold, what can i say? looks like a bug to me... oscar 11:48, 15 November 2005 (CET)

Spam

Hello.

Do to the sheer amount of spam the site got lately, i've installed the SpamBlackList extension. It'll just forbid to save a page matching some URLs. Full list is here (regex list for the people who know ^_-).

You shouldn't have any issue saving hopefully, else lemme know.

User css

Hello. I enabled user CSS, to be able to customize even more the look of the site. Users now just need to edit their [[user:user_name/monobook.css]] page.

Impossible to save edit on talk page

Many thanks for your vigilance ! However i unblocked Nancy Haddad because it seems to be a beginner error instead of a true vandalism... I tryed to save a message on her talk page but it doesn't work, i don't know why... I'll try again later...

Wikipen is now managed by a french association. It is long for it to go ahead but it is on the good way ! I think it will be able to promote english version next year !
